In the eighth game of the season, however, he demonstrated his outstanding talent and versatility, and was immediately promoted to starting running back. He led Auburn to a victory game against UGA where he amassed 179 yards and scored two touchdowns, one of which was the show-stopping game winner. Williams finished his collegiate career breaking all-time Tigers records with 3,831 yards on 741 attempts and 45 touchdowns.
